Top Ten Tuesday!! New-to-Me Authors

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted at The Broke and the Bookish featuring her love of all things, lists!

Since I’m also a fan of lists, especially top tens I thought I’d play along!

Today’s topic:

Top Ten Favorite New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2012!

Oh my!!! How in the world am I going to get this list to 10!?!! As most of you probably already know, I started blogging this year so most of the books that I’ve read are from new authors! Ack!! And there are such lovely books out there. Whew… ok. I’ll take this one book at a time.

1. Nicky Wells — This gal is amazing! I just can NOT get enough of Sophie’s life. I’m going to be really sad when this series ends!
2. Markus Zusak — I’ve only read The Book Thief but his usage of Death being the narrator really made me a happy girl. Even though the book was based in dreadful conditions. This one was a winner and I can NOT wait to read more of his stuff!!
3. Melissa Pearl — Betwixt was amazing! I love her writing style!
4. Mira Grant — I devoured her books! And funnily enough, zombie books were the first books I ever reviewed on my blog! YAY!
5. Gail Carriger — Yet another author that I can not wait to read more from! Her first book, Soulless, is like my book soul mate! Sadly, I have books two and three just sitting here waiting for when I’m not too busy. They are probably glaring!
6. Jonathan Maberry — Wow, this guy knows how to freaking write a good story! I am fortunate enough to have a hubby who loves his stuff, and with my first read being Patient Zero, I just can not wait to get my hands on more! My TBR is filled with Jonathan Maberry!!
7. Richard Long — Absolutely amazing, intense, fabulous writing! I could not get enough and was very sad when The Book of Paul ended. I want more!
8. Shannon Mayer — Sundered! Zombies! Intense!!!
9. Barton Mitchell — I loved Midnight City! And although I don’t normally enjoy books about aliens, this one was great. Really curious about the next!
10. Trisha Leigh — Much like Barton Mitchell, Trisha surprised me with her usage of aliens and Trisha knows how to make them scary!! The plot for Whispers in Autumn is amazing!

Whew… that was hard but I did it!! Who are your top 10 new to you authors for this year?
